A prisoner suspected of murder escaped from Poggoreale prison in Italian Naples.
32-year-old Polish citizen Robert Lisowski was able to climb over the wall. He used a homemade rope for this, which he made from a sheet.
ANSA informs about the incident. Before escaping, the man attended a service in a prison church. In addition to him, about 200 people attended the service.
It is believed that he managed to somehow separate from the others when prison staff escorted the prisoners to cells.
Law enforcement officials began searching for the missing person. It is worth noting that this is the first escape in prison history. It is known that it was erected over 100 years ago.
By the way, this correctional institution is considered the most crowded in Western Europe.
